most modern gas stoves have some kind of electric on it, the simplest kind will have a clock just for telling the time and maybe a timer, it also usually have a light bulb inside the oven and a switch so you can look at the cake without opening the door.
the more suffisticated stoves are completely electronic, with digital temperature displays, self cleaning, oven sensors and convection cooking also probe sensor, in other words precission cooking.
